Our Programs
-
The Studio
The Studio is the creative heart of our programming, where our artists book weekly studio sessions (Tue-Thurs) to work with Totem Star artist mentors and collaborate with their peers to work on recording, beat making, mixing, mastering, music business, performance, and more. Fridays are drop-in days for artists to learn more, collaborate, and work independently.
-
The Stage
Quarterly series of open mics and youth arts showcases open to the general public where youth perform their original music and learn about live performance in the process.
-
The Jam
The Jam is an open jam session welcoming all to attend and designed for youth ages 14–25 to participate. Held on the first Thursday of each month, the event typically takes place at The Studio on the second floor of King Street Station. Special editions may feature workshops, open houses, or take place at alternate locations.

Artist Booking & Partnerships
Performance opportunities in the community with organizations such as the Seattle Art Museum, Gates Foundation, Seattle Public Schools, ACES, and more. Totem Star manages contracts for our artists and we are able to either advocate for and negotiate fair pay from partners or pay artists directly.
