THE STORY

The Story is a quarterly event where we invite a local artist to come speak and share their stories with our Totem Star artists. ALL are welcome to join in on this conversation, but we encourage our young artists to ask questions.

JULIE-C

Julie-C is a Hip Hop artist, agitator, and cultural catalyzer hailing from the Coast Salish Autonomous Zone/Technocratic City-State of Seattle.

Serving as core organizer for the Artist Coalition for Equitable Development/SIASE/FACS, adult mentor artist for The Hydrant, and program coordinator for NW Folklife are other endeavors of this veteran emcee who wears a lot of hats in her ongoing mission of community self-determination and empowerment.

Her album Sovereign Queendom Archives Vol 1., which debuted in January 2020 with an illustrated story booklet, is the first installment of a mind and genre bending triptych.
